While my journey with Wix was short-lived, I’ve witnessed its evolution over the years. It’s a viable option for some entrepreneurs on a tight budget or those taking their first steps in the digital domain. Keep in mind, Wix have made many updates recently including their new Wix Studio (which I have not used and can’t provide an opinion on).

Wix Improvements
- SEO Challenges: Some users report difficulty with search engine rankings.
- Template Restrictions: Can result in similar-looking websites. The moment I land on a website, I can instantly tell it was made on Wix (which isn’t a great thing)
- Migration Hurdles: Transitioning out of Wix can be stressful. I’ve deal with a lot of Wix users who had a hard time getting out of their plan or moving their domain.
- Customer Support Experiences Vary: Quality can be inconsistent.
- Presence of Wix Ads: On free and basic plans

Customer support can make or break your experience with a platform. My journey with Wix’s support was a big reason I stopped designing on the platform, while Showit’s team consistently impressed with their promptness and genuine care. The supportive Showit community on their Facebook Group further enhances the user experience, offering peer-to-peer guidance and insights.
