How to Earn Money on Your Website
1. Affiliate Marketing/Links
Affiliate Marketing is the most popular way to make money! It’s easy to start and you can earn a good amount of income if you’re promoting the right kind of products/services to your target audience.
Taking my target audience as an example – the majority of my website visitors are existing or new business owners. I have a resources page on my website endorsing the business tools that I love & recommend. As most of my website visitors are looking for tools to invest in for their business, most of them resonate with my affiliates and purchase through my affiliate link.
Start off by finding a product or service that you like and use yourself! Don’t be the person who signs up to endorse any company – make sure it’s something you support and have used yourself. If someone likes the product/service and purchases through your link, you get a split of that sale. The commission can be anywhere from 10%-70%. For example, if it’s 50% and you’re promoting a business course you took that costs $500, you get $250 of that. Having various affiliate links allows you how to get small amounts from different companies, and it adds up quicker than you think! Some people think you make the bare minimum when it comes to affiliate marketing, but that is false! I’ve made $300+ from just one person purchasing from my link.
You can sign up for affiliates directly through the company (the link to join is typically at the footer of their website) or affiliate ad networks like CJ Affiliates, which offers different affiliates in one place. Always make sure to add a disclaimer before & after your affiliate link that you get commission/credit from it.
2. Digital Downloads + Ebooks
Digital Downloads & Courses are the best for passive income! Think of the business you have and your target audience, and see what they’d be willing to buy. The best part of digital downloads is that once you’ve finished it, there’s no upkeep needed and then you’re easily making hundreds a month for a product you’ve already completed. Think about it, if you sold a digital download for $20 and 15 people/month buy one (that’s not a lot of people!) then you’re walking away with $300 gross per month.
People are most willing to purchase these items as they are inexpensive and enticing to buy if you market them well. Ask yourself, what’s something that people ask you constantly for when running your business? Use these questions to think of digital downloads to launch, and conduct market research to see how successfully they could be. The question I got asked daily was that my followers and website visitors wanted an affordable option to build a website – so I launched website templates. I’ve now made 5 figures just from this one type of digital download.

3. Online Courses
If you have any skills that others would like to learn, setting up an online course is a great way to earn money! Many entrepreneurs and small business owners like to invest in courses to improve their business. You can make an online course for anything! If you’re a food blogger, you can make a cooking online course. If you’re a fashion blogger/influencer, you can make an online course on how to get brand deals & become a fashion influencer! Many people who visit your website are most likely fans of what you do, or wanting to be a boss like you. They will be willing to invest in a course you offer if you’ve built trust with them through social media, email marketing and other sources.

There is no maintenance needed on your end as Google takes care of it for you. It makes it an easy and quick way to make some extra income.
5. Sell a Service
Selling services online has never been more popular than it is now. Find what you’re most passionate about, pick the desired niche, market yourself & watch those inquiries roll in.
This one requires most of your time. As selling a service is all about your time rather than purchasing a physical product/inventory for e-commerce stores. People will only invest in your service if they trust you & you have social proof to back you up. Post testimonials/reviews, portfolio and any other evidence to show you’re an expert in that particular service.
Selling services is the reason I’ve hit 6 figures in my business, and I encourage anyone to try it out! The great thing about selling services is you can serve anyone worldwide, which gives you the potential to reach millions of people.
6. Sponsored Posts
You might have heard of sponsored posts from famous influencers, but anyone who has a following can earn money from sponsored posts.
Many companies will look out for blogs or websites that think their ideal audience reads. I’ve had companies reach out to me before for this! You do not need to be a huge influencer to land brand deals. As long as your website visitors trust you and your engagement rate is high, companies are willing to pay for exposure. If you do have great engagement throughout many platforms, I recommend adding a media kit on your website.
