Six Tips For A Showit Sales Page Design That Converts
Filed In:
Compared to online stores, a sales page converts way more! Sales pages don’t have any distractions (related products, other links) and put a focus on only one purchase. You need to make sure your page is well-designed, in order to see great results!
6 Tips for a High-Converting Sales Page
1. Have Only One Call to Action
There’s only one thing you want them to do after scrolling through your sales page – to purchase. Place this CTA button at the top, middle & bottom of the page – to give them as many chances as possible to sign up. Remove your navigation menu and any external links! There should be no links that bring visitors outside of that page. On a longer sales page, you can definitely place multiple CTAs where you think it fits good – as long as it leads them to the same place.
2. Great Page Design
Some sales pages are super wordy & make people want to exit, as it’s just text after text… Mix things up a bit in your design! Break up your page with different layouts, and a variety of image placements. Keeping the page entertaining, will keep them on the page longer.
I would test new design elements to see which performs best. You’d be surprised at how much just a simple button color change, can affect conversions. I love using HotJar to see how visitors behave on my sales pages, and what areas make them click or exit, to see what sections can be improved.
3. Create a Value Proposition
Show them what problem you solve for them & why your offer is the best way to solve it. Why should they choose YOU? Create your value proposition by identifying your audience’s main problem, all the benefits of your offer, what makes your offer unique and valuable to them, and connect this to their problem.
4. Captivating Copy
Copy is key in sales page conversions. My main tips for copy:
Keep it relevant, and avoid any unnecessary information.
Break up all of the text with enticing headings!
Showcase who this offer is for & how it will help – “____ will help ____ to ____ by _____”
Use strong verbs and headlines
Add bullet points to describe your offer’s benefits
5. Build Visitor’s Trust
There are many ways to build trust using social proof. I usually place social proof throughout various stages of the sales pages – near the top, middle and bottom. Some ways to build trust woudl be:
Testimonials from Previous Buyers
Money-Back Guarantee
Trust Seals
Featured/Seen In
Proof in the form of text, image, or video (e.g. If you’re a fitness coach, place image before and afters of previous customers!)
6. Create Urgency
If you seen a high-ticket offer that you’re interested in had a flash sale where you’d have to purchase within a certain amount of hours – would it entice you more to make a decision? For many people, they act fast.
I love using Elfsight’s countdown timer for this! It’s a great strategy as it makes consumers make quick decisions. Having a countdown timer lets visitors know that NOW is the perfect time to enroll in your course, but a product on sale, etc. They’ll want to snag the deal before it’s gone!
