8 Signs You Need a New Website Design
As a Shopify Website Designer, I’ve come across hundreds of Shopify apps and only recommend some to my clients. Here are my six current favourite apps so far, which is perfect for any type of e-commerce business!
Orderly Emails allows you to create stunning email designs for customer order notifications. Shopify’s email notifications always look the same and tend to look boring, so this is a great way to make your customer experience a little more unique.
This Shopify app is free to try, customize & test before making a purchase. The best part? It’s a one-time payment per theme, no monthly plan needed. Only pay for the design you like & customize it to match your business’ branding. View the Orderly Emails app right here.
Shoppable Product Quizzes! This is perfect just in time for the holiday season. It’s a great engaging experience for your customers, whether it’s to find a gift, makeup shade, personalized recommendation, or anything else that fits your product line.
They offer beautiful premium templates that can be customized to fit your branding and can be used by any type of business. It’s a great way to grow your email list, and have customers add products right to their cart from the quiz. Popular brands like Ouai (see below) use this for their website!

I understand how expensive Shopify Apps can get if you’re using a lot of them. Thankfully, Listfully is free (for now!) and has a stunning/clean look. A lot of wishlist apps tend to look tacky, and this is why I recommend Listfully if aesthetics are important to you.
This is amazing for conversion rates, as customers may want to save a product to purchase at a later time. You also have a better idea of what your customers like/want, which is great to know what products to sell in the future. View the Listfully app right here.
Loox is one of the best Shopify review apps available. Even though Shopify offers a free review app, it lacks in good design & features. There seems to be a lot of issues with this app, which is why Loox is a great paid option!
When customers are debating about a product, they want to know your business can be trusted. The best way is through social proof, especially through images! Loox allows customers to post image reviews.
Another great feature of this Shopify app is the ability to send out review request emails. You can schedule these emails to send out depending on the product’s delivery time/order status and this is a great reminder for those who may forget to post a review. View the Loox app right here.
SMSBump is a must-have! It’s an SMS marketing and automation app for marketing campaigns and many businesses are seeing an increase in ROI from using this Shopify app. This allows you to set up text automation including abandoned cart reminders, to boost your conversion rates. As you know, Instagram is a very popular software that every business has (or should have). Having a shoppable instagram feed is super important as an e-commerce business. This can help convert your store visitors into customers, and helps build social proof.
This app (depends on the plan you choose) allows you to fully customize your feed to fit your website vision, allows you to tag products on your posts, and filtering your posts by hashtags – this is perfect for product pages, to show real customers wearing/using that specific product!
